The mission of InformYourVote.com is to transform how voters get information about candidates and, in doing so, help build a better-informed democracy.  

InformYourVote.com is a fully independent, non-profit, ad-free web platform that enables voters to hear from candidates about what specific laws they would support, before we vote for them.

We have asked each of the Republican and Democratic candidates in the 30 closest congressional 2026 midterm elections to provide local voters with two minute video answers, this September, about what specific laws they would support to address affordability issues affecting all Americans: including housing and health care.

InformYourVote.com’s transparency-enhancing platform first launched in 2021 for the New York City ranked-choice mayoral primary election (viewable here), which attracted the largest viewing audience of any online voter resource. In a race won by less than 1% of the 900,000 votes cast, more than 150,000 New Yorkers viewed 320,000 short candidate videos on InformYourVote.org’s YouTube channel.

More than $10 billion will be spent by candidates running in this year’s midterms, most of it on AI-targeted political ads, paid for by big money donors. These short, uninforming ads rarely say anything about what laws candidates would actually support to benefit their constituents after they are elected.

On the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, InformYourVote.com calls on our fellow Americans to declare independence from a political education system based on paid advertising, and instead, be the change you want to see by informing your vote.
