The Declaration of Independence from Election Advertising

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for the American people to unbind their election education system from the multi-billion dollar, AI-targeted political advertising campaigns that are the means by which big donors corrupt politics, we choose to instead inform our votes to understand where candidates stand on issues that directly affect us.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that for 250 years, American citizens have been endowed by our democracy with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, pursuit of Happiness and a government that places the needs of the people before the needs of special interest donors to political campaigns.
We call on congressional candidates in the midterm elections to provide transparency, accountability and integrity to the election process by telling local voters what specific laws they would support to make child care, housing, health care, energy and food more affordable for working Americans.
